This is the Brainnet Groep cookie statement. Our business is registered on Marconibaan 1a in Nieuwegein in the Netherlands. We are registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 53836073. This statement explains our policy on cookies. Our privacy statement contains more information about general data processing.
Which personal data do we process when we use cookies?

What are cookies and which cookies do we use?

Statistics cookies
Statistics cookies help the owners of websites understand how their visitors use their websites by collecting and reporting anonymous data. On our website, we use statistics cookies from Google Inc. (hereinafter: “Google”) and Hotjar Ltd. (hereinafter: “Hotjar”).
Google Analytics
Brainnet Groep uses Google Analytics. Accordingly, it is possible that Google Analytics cookies are placed to collect data so that we can ultimately give you the best possible user experience. By collecting data with Google Analytics, we learn how the website is used and those statistics can be then applied to our website. The information we have acquired is transferred to, and stored by, Google on servers in the United States. Google may disclose that information to third parties if Google is under a statutory obligation to do so, or if those third parties process that information on behalf of Google. We do not have any control over that. Google claims to observe the privacy regulations that are applicable there, which means that there should be a suitable level of protection for the processing of (personal) data. Brainnet Groep is not responsible for that processing and excludes all liability pertaining to this matter.
Nonetheless, we have implemented precautions to guarantee your privacy: we have signed a processing agreement with Google and the last octet of your IP address is masked. Furthermore, we do not permit Google to use the information Google has acquired from the analytics for other Google services, with the exception of Adwords. We will explain this in more detail later.

You can unsubscribe from the creation of a user profile with Google Analytics. To do this, download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hotjar
Brainnet Groep uses Hotjar. Hotjar is an analytics tool which tells us about our visitors’ behaviour. Hotjar makes screencasts (short videos) and heatmaps of the pages on our website a visitor visits. Brainnet Groep has adjusted all the settings in Hotjar so they are as privacy-friendly as possible so that personal data cannot be processed. Brainnet Groep has also signed a processing agreement with Hotjar.
Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behaviour of our visitors and about their devices (primarily where the IP address of the device is concerned - only registered and stored in an anonymised version in which the last octet of the IP is masked), the screen size of the device, the type of device (unique device ID), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language to show our website. Hotjar stores that information in a pseudonymised user profile. Both Hotjar and we cannot, and will not, ever use that information to identify individual users or to link it to other data of an individual user.

Marketing cookies
These cookies are placed to keep track of visitors’ behaviour and conversions, to match advertisements to their preferences and for (re)marketing purposes beyond our website. These cookies are also used for building profiles.
Facebook, LinkedIn and Google AdWords
If you give your consent, we place:
- a Facebook pixel from Facebook, Inc.;
- a LinkedIn pixel (LinkedIn Insight Tag) from LinkedIn Corporation;
- an AdWords remarketing pixel from Google (you can adjust your Google advertising preference settings via google.com/settings/ads).
Facebook pixel
A Facebook pixel is a code that can be placed anywhere on the website to find out more about our target groups. With the code, we can measure the target groups which can then be optimised and developed for Facebook advertisements you might be shown. After placing the pixel, we can measure such things as the conversion from Facebook, see, by means of comprehensive statistics, how our target group uses the website and create a (comparable) target group with the help of the statistics.
Linkedin pixel
A Linkedin pixel, also known as a Linkedin Insight Tag is a code on our website which gives us more insight into our target group and the performance of the Linkedin advertisements.
Adwords remarketing pixel
An Adwords remarketing pixel, or Adwords remarketing tag, is a tiny script that is placed on our website. Its purpose is to throw more light on the response to the Adwords advertisements shown on the website. We can use that information to set up new campaigns, for instance, and focus them on people who have shown interest in the advertisement and visited our website.
When we use the Adwords remarketing pixel on our website, the visitors to our website are put on a special list which is used for remarketing. We can use that list to contact those visitors again with relevant advertisement, offers and other content.
Processing information
The information we have acquired is transferred to, and stored by, the parties mentioned above on servers in the United States. These parties may disclose that information to third parties if they are under a statutory obligation to do so, or if those third parties process that information on behalf of the parties mentioned above. We do not have any control over that. These parties claim to observe the privacy regulations that are applicable there. This means that there should be a suitable level of protection for the processing of (personal) data. Brainnet Groep is not responsible for that processing and excludes all liability pertaining to this matter.
You are free to give your consent or to withhold it, for the use of marketing cookies. Once you have given your consent, you may withdraw it any time you wish, which you can do by removing the cookie(s) that has (have) been placed or you can adjust your browser settings for future use. Snoobi
Brainnet Groep uses Snoobi by Snoobi B.V. We use this software to see which businesses have visited Brainnet Groep’s website. The data collected by this means can tell us things like how the visitor found our website (a search engine, an online commercial directory, an advertisement or via social media, typing in the URL, etc.)

What should you do if you don’t want any cookies?
You can refuse to accept marketing cookies. In addition, you can unsubscribe from cookies by adjusting your Internet browser settings so that it does not store cookies anymore. Moreover, you can delete all the information that was stored earlier using the settings in your browser. Switching off the cookies only has consequences for the computer and the browser on which you adjust the settings. If you use more than one computer and/or browser, you will need to repeat those actions until all the settings have been adjusted on all the devices.
